# 03. Pools and Farming on Stargate

[**Stargate Finance**](https://stargate.finance/) offers several profit-making features, including **farming pools** and **liquidity pools**. Farming pools are part of the platform’s liquidity generation protocols, and they allow users to secure returns for providing liquidity to the pool. However, farming pools have varying APYs and lock-up periods.

To add liquidity to a token-chain pool, users can go to stargate.finance, connect their wallet to the Stargate web app, and add liquidity to an ERC20 token pool supported by Stargate by clicking Pool on the list.
