zkSync is a layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge proofs to achieve fast and cheap transactions, while maintaining high security and privacy.
zkSync has not launched a token yet, but there is speculation that it might do so in the future and reward early adopters with an airdrop. To increase your chances of qualifying for a potential zkSync airdrop, you need to interact with both the zkSync Lite network and the zkSync Era mainnet, which are the two networks that zkSync currently operates on. You also need to interact with the projects and dApps that are built on zkSync, such as [**SyncSwap**](https://syncswap.xyz/) or [**Mute**](https://mute.io/).
### Add zkSync Era Mainnet to Metamask
Open [**chainlist.org**](https://chainlist.org/) in your browser. In the search box, type zkSync, only one result will appear - **zkSync ERA Mainnet**. Click "add to metamask" to make the network visible in your wallet.
