# 01. First Steps

**LayerZero** is designed to help the biggest crypto networks interoperate. It provides authentic and guaranteed message delivery with configurable trustlessness. It is a “blockchain of blockchains” that allows other blockchain networks to communicate directly and in a trustless manner.

To be eligible for the potential **LayerZero airdrop**, you can use LayerZero-powered bridges, DEXes, and lending protocols, while staying updated through the protocol’s Discord.
